Add funds to your account
For a truly seamless Autocharge experience, keep your account topped up. Activate the auto-reload feature to have a preset amount added to your account from your credit card each time your balance drops below $10. Remember that, if your balance reaches $0 during a charging session, charging will automatically stop. If you don’t use automatic payments, then be sure to check your balance before hitting the road.

The Autocharge feature lets the charging station automatically recognize your vehicle through its MAC address. This simplifies the process, since you just need to plug in your vehicle to start charging, with payment debited directly from your account once the session ends.

Most vehicles equipped with a CCS Combo or NACS charging port are compatible with the Autocharge feature. However, some models from certain vehicle brands are not compatible. You can check whether your vehicle is compatible with Autocharge by adding it to your profile in the Electric Circuit mobile app. A message will indicate whether or not your vehicle is compatible with Autocharge. If your vehicle is identified as incompatible with Autocharge but you believe this is an error, please contact us via the Contact Us page.
Autocharge requires a CCS or NACS connector as well as access to the vehicle’s MAC address for identification purposes. Some automakers do not offer these features, thus limiting their vehicles’ compatibility. Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lucid are among the manufacturers that do not support Autocharge for some models. Vehicles fitted with a CHAdeMO connector are likewise incompatible. For more information, please contact your vehicle manufacturer or dealer.
No. At present, standard (Level 2) stations are not compatible with Autocharge. Electric Circuit fast-charge stations are generally compatible, barring a few exceptions. No. Only one account at a time can be used to set up Autocharge for a vehicle. If you want to link your vehicle to a different account, you have to first remove it from the existing account or else disable Autocharge for that vehicle before setting it up again.
• Open the mobile app, then go to My vehicles.
• Select the vehicle for which you want to deactivate or disable Autocharge.
• Tap Modify.
• To temporarily deactivate Autocharge, toggle the activation switch. To disable Autocharge, tap Disable Autocharge and follow the instructions on the screen.
Also, if you delete a vehicle from your account, its Autocharge setup will be automatically deleted as well.
When you sell your vehicle, it is essential that you remove it from the Electric Circuit mobile app. Doing so will automatically delete its Autocharge setup. If you don’t do this, then any subsequent Autocharge sessions on this vehicle carried out at compatible Electric Circuit charging stations will be debited from your account.
If you lend your EV to another driver and don’t want to have to pay for their charging sessions, you can temporarily deactivate Autocharge. To allow the other driver to setup Autocharge on their own account when using your vehicle, you need to disable the Autocharge setup in your account. Once you get your vehicle back, you’ll need to go through the setup process again to reactivate Autocharge.
